Marisa Castro, MT-BC, NMT, is a board-certified music therapist and neurologic music therapist dedicated to supporting individuals navigating trauma, grief, and loss. She specializes in trauma-informed, person-centered care that fosters emotional expression, resilience, and healing through the therapeutic use of music.
Marisa’s clinical experience spans diverse populations, including individuals impacted by adverse childhood experiences, those undergoing cancer treatment, and individuals with developmental disabilities. She integrates evidence-based approaches to create a safe and supportive space where clients can process emotions, strengthen coping skills, and reclaim their voice.
Marisa is deeply committed to expanding access to music therapy within underserved and historically marginalized communities. She considers it a privilege to walk alongside individuals as they navigate grief and life transitions. Marisa finds meaning in creating spaces where people feel supported in their grief, find solace in shared experiences, and ultimately rediscover their strength through music
