Maria Gonzales is a public health professional with over 15 years of experience developing programs and conducting research to improve health outcomes for underserved populations. As a military spouse and veteran caregiver, she is passionate about supporting the military community and creating sustainable solutions that address social drivers of health. Recently, Maria founded her company, Virtara Solutions, to deliver evidence-based empowerment workshops to military populations nationwide with the goal of helping people align their passion with purpose.
Maria lives and works in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and four kids. She enjoys reading, running, and taking long walks on the Riverwalk. Maria obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Health from the University of Texas in San Antonio and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Public Health from Capella University.
