About me
Dr. Gregory Williams is on the Senior Leadership Team at Baylor College of Medicine’s OB/GYN Department located in Texas Children’s Hospital in the heart of the Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He has a PhD in Counseling and is a well-known speaker/teacher. He travels the country speaking to thousands of people on child abuse, the aftermaths of abuse, the detection and recognition of abuse and the importance of the Adverse Childhood Experiences.
He is the author of “Shattered by the Darkness: Putting the Pieces Back Together After Child Abuse” and “When the Dark Clouds Come: the Road Map to HOPE”. This book is to help teenagers and young adults deal with stressful moments in their lives. Together these books have sold more than 2.2 million copies around the world. He has a new book coming out in the December of 2024 called: “Embracing Your Scars: Learning How to Turn Life’s Pain into Life’s Power & Purpose.”
He travels the country speaking to thousands of people on child abuse, the aftermaths of abuse, the detection and recognition of abuse and the importance of the Adverse Childhood Experiences. He is on the Advisory Board of the Institute of Trauma-Informed Practices of the Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. He is also the Chairman of the Steering Committee of the United Against Human Trafficking and is a State of Texas certified trainer for Medical Physicians in Human Trafficking Awareness Training. He is also on Governor Greg Abbott’s Sexual Assault Survivors’ Task Force.
