About me
As a nurse for 25 years I’ve seen the direct impact of low health literacy. Patients struggle to understand their diagnoses and treatment and families are often lost on what steps they need to take. My mission is to change that. Through workshops in person and virtual, You Tube videos, and one on one conversations we are knocking down barriers. Much of my work is with youth with a lived experience of foster care placement but has quickly expanded to other marginalized populations where gaps in literacy are significant. I am passionate about health literacy and want to help as many people as possible. Let’s collaborate!
